Join us for a unique cheese pairing deep dive with Sake!
The Cheese Club FLX welcomes Jon Perelmuter for an engaging exploration into the world of sake: what it is, how it’s made, the different styles, and how serving temperature (hot vs. cold) transforms the experience. Together, we’ll dive into tasting profiles and discover how sake pairs not just with Japanese cuisine but beautifully with everyday foods, including cheese.
You’ll taste through five distinct sakes, thoughtfully paired with artisanal cheeses and traditional Japanese accoutrements, designed to open your mind (and palate) to unexpected combinations.
Jonathan Perelmuter was a sommelier at the 2-Michelin starred Danny Meyer restaurant The Modern in NYC. His passion for sake was sparked after discovering that it paired amazingly with more than just Japanese cuisine. If you come away learning just one new thing about sake, he hopes it's that.
The class will take place on May 30th, from 6pm-7:30pm, in the beautiful sunroom @ 16 Elm, Heritage Hotel in Trumansburg.
